PSTET Exam Notification 2015-16

Punjab State Govt issue the notice for PSTET Exam 2015 that is conducted by Punjab School Edu. Board (PSEB) to recruit teachers from Class I-VIII. All eligible candidates should have to apply for PSTET-I, PSTET-II from 08.11.2015 – 23.11.2015. Check the info regarding eligibility criteria, Syllabus, Exam Dates given below.

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) that is responsible for education system & examination at state level having headquarter at Mohali (Punjab). It also responsible to conduct Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET).

Job Description

Job Position : Teachers (Class I-VIII)

Required Qualification : Post wise qualification requirement given below.

For Class I-V : Candidate must passed 12th Standard with min 50% marks or appearing in final year of 2 yr Diploma.
For Class V-VIII : Candidate must passed Graduation with min 50% marks or appearing in final year of 2 yr Diploma or 1 year B.Ed.

Application Fee : Only online mode of payment is available

For Gen/OBC category – Rs.600 for each exam (PSTET-I or II).
For SC/ST category – Rs.300 for each exam.

Exam Pattern

Paper-I is only for those who intends to be teacher (Class I-V)
Paper-II only for teachers (Class V-VIII).
Exam Contain 150 MCQ questions of 1 mark each.
Qualifying Marks for General 90/150 (60%).
Qualifying Marks for Other categories 82/150 (55%).

Eligible candidates should have apply online through official website www.pstet.org.in before 23 .11.2015. Online registration will be closed on 23.11.2015. No need to send hard copy of application.
