Punjab Police Sub Inspector Notification

Punjab police Department invites applications for 430 Sub Inspector (SI) posts. Job Position : Sub Inspector Operator (Male & Female both)

Total No. of Vacancies : 430 (Male-225, Female-205)

• Male : 225 (Gen-139, Sc/St-57, BC-27, FF-02)
• Female : 205 (Gen-127, Sc/St-52, BC-24, FF-02)

Job Category : All Latest Govt Jobs

Remuneration : Rs.10,300 – 34,800 with grade pay of Rs.4600

Age Requirement : Candidate’s age should be 18 – 28 years as on 01.01.2016. Age should be same for Male & Female candidates. Age relaxation is also provided for Sc/St/Bc categories by 5 years on upper age limit.

Education Qualification :

• Candidate must possess Any Graduation Degree from recognized univ/institution.
• Must passed Punjabi Subject upto Metric level.

Physical Requirement : Physical criteria For Male & Female both

Physical Criteria For Male Candidates :

• Height – minimum 5’7″ (5 feet 7 inch) for all candidates
• Minimum 1600 m Race in 6.30 minutes (1 chance).
• Minimum 3.80 meters Long Jump (3 chance)
• 1.15 meter High Jump (3 chances)

Physical Criteria For Female Candidates :

• Height – minimum 5’3″ feet (5 feet 3 inch) for all categories
• Minimum 800 m Race in 4:30 minutes (1 chance).
• Minimum 3.25 m Long Jump (3 chance)
• q meter High Jump (3 chances)

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in following 4 phases. Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Exam – 50 for General and 40 for SC/ST/BC.

• Written Examination (100 Marks)
• Personal Interview (5 Marks)
