• The platform for effective implementation of National Child Labour Project, The Ministry of Labour and Employment launched a portal with name of PENCIL.
• The portal launched at National Conference of Child Labour.

Underground Water Treatment plant in Sadhutilla

• A new In Tripura, a new underground water treatment plant has made at Sadhutilla in the southern part of Agartala.
• It will fulfilled the need for drinking water free from iron and other contamination.
• The plant has started functioning with supply of quality treated water initially to 565 households through pipeline.

Chatbot launched by State Bank of India

• Synthetic intelligence banking platform Payjo has launched an AI-powered chat assistant with name of ABI Intelligent Assistant or SIA for State Bank of India to addresses customer enquiries.
• It will help customers with everyday banking tasks just like a bank representative.

5000 meter gold wins by Athlete Lakshmanan

• Govindan Lakshmanan Reigning Asian champion wins in the men’s 5000-metre race on the opening day of the 57th National Open Athletics Championships at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
• He has recently won gold in the 3,000m event at the Asian Indoor Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

• A Mobile application Divyang Sarathi has been launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for easy dissemination of information to Divyangjans.

E-NWR system lunched under Digital Indian Mission

• Under Digital India Mission of Government, The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution launched a web portal for warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) & Electronics Negotiable Warehouse Receipt system (e-NWR).

Countries Joint Military drill DRUZBA 2017

• A joint military drill of Pakistan and Russia DRUZBA 2017 (Freindship-2017) was held in Minralney Vody, Russia.
• The focus of the joint drill is to counter-terrorism operations, hostage and rescue, cordon and search operations.

BDL signed agreement to supply Medium range Air Missiles

• A contract has been signed between BDL Bharat Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Research Centre Imarat (RCI) for the supply of Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missiles (MRSAM) to Indian Army. It was signed to facilitate production, deliveries and product support of MRSAM system for the Indian Army.
