• Government of India launched the video of National Anthem in Sign Language.
• Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey launched the 3.35minute video starrer Amitabh Bachan along with physically challenged children performing in anthem.

Banking Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2017 passed by Rajya Sabha

• Rajya Sabha passed the Banking Regulation (Amendment) Bill on 10^th august 2017.
• The bill was earlier passed by Lok Sabha.
• The bill aims to insert provisions for handling cases related to stress assets of banks.

Now PUC Certificate is compulsory for renewal of Motor vehicle insurance

• According to the new directions of Supreme Court of India, all India owners must produce pollution under control (PUC) certificate. Decision was taken by bench of Justices headed by Justice Madan B Lokur.

• Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Hyderabad, Telangana form 28^th to 30^th November 2017 will be co- host by India and US.
• Delegation of America will be led by Ivanka Trump, Daughter of US President Donald Trump.

Non-biodegradable plastic bags banned in Delhi

• The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has banned use of non-biodegradable plastic bags which are less than 50 microns in the entire national capital.
• Tribunal has also directed the Delhi government to seize the entire stock of plastic within one week from today.

Mobile therapy van for elderly people launched in Bihar

• Bihar government launched a mobile therapy vans which will provide basic medical assistance to elderly people, widows and other section who requires social security.
• Total 11 vans were send to many districts including Nalanda, Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Buxar, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, Purnea, Rohtas, Darbhanga and Samastipur.

• Vinay Dube has joined as new Chief Executive Officer of Jet Airways. After receipt of all requisite government and regulatory approvals Jet Airways announced this.

• At world Athletics Championships, Davinder Singh Kang became the first Indian to qualify for the final round of the javelin throw.
