First World Peace University Inaugurated in Pune

  • India’s First World Peace University inaugurated in MIT, Pune by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. It’s a first of its kind of India.

Two new species of Earthworm discovered in Kerala

  • Two new species of earthworm belonging to the primitive family Moniligastridae in Western Ghats ranges of Kerala have discovered by Scientists.
  • The new earthworms have been named as Drawida polydiverticulata and Drawida thomasi.

Tracking and Data Relay Satellite-M successfully launched by NASA

  • Tracking and Data Relay Satellite-M (TDRS-M) into orbit have been sucessfully launched by The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
  • It  is third and final satellite in a series of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS), Next generation communications satellites

  • The Government of India has directed all states and union territories to formulate a Specialized Unit for VIP Security.
