PSSSB Selection Procedure for 2200 New Vacancies

As we know, Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board (PSSSB) released 2200 new vacancies for Clerks & Steno posts. Here we share complete information regarding selection process of psssb for all given posts. Check typing test description  of psssb selection  for clerk recruitment sep 2016.

  • Clerk cum Data Entry Operator : 03
  • Steno Typist : 197
  • Jr. Scale Stenographer : 06
Post Name Selection Procedure
Clerk
  • English Typing Test (Qualifying)
  • Punjabi Typing Test (Qualifying)
  • Written Exam (if necessary)
  • Asses or Joy Font
  • Speed 30 wpm
  • 2 paragraphs of 300 words
Steno Typist
  • Punjabi Shorthand 80 wpm
  • 2 paragraphs of 200-200 words
  • Transcription on typewriter 15 wpm
Jr. Scale Stenographer
  • Punjabi Shorthand 100 wpm
  • 2 paragraphs of 250-250 words
  • Transcription on typewriter 20 wpm
  • English Shorthand 50 wpm
  • 1 paragraph 200 words
  • Transcription speed 10 wpm
Clerk cum Data Entry Operator
  • English Typing Test (Qualifying)
  • Punjabi Typing Test (Qualifying)
  • 2 paragraphs of 300 words
  • Asses or Joy Font
  • Speed 30 words per minute
  • Written Exam (if needed)

As we discuss above, For Clerk & Clerk cum DEO Post – Final Merit list of selected candidates should be made only on the basis of their performance in Academic Qualification (as per Marks & percentage). Candidates’s should have to  qualify English & Punjabi typing test. But psssb may conduct a written exam to shortlist candidates for final selection if large no. of candidates be shortlisted through above.

For Steno typist & Jr. Stenographer post – no written test will conduct. Final merit list will only made on the basis of above shorthand & transcription test.
